At Maine Rural Partners we believe that the most critical ingredients for rural vitality are already present within Maine communities — the vision, passion and knowledge of our residents. Our challenge is learning how to effectively mobilize these resources toward shared community goals and sustain these efforts over time. We also believe that resources are in short supply and must be maximized and shared for greatest impact.
Our focus is on leveraging resources — people, expertise and capital. Becoming an active partner in one of our projects is a great way to add support. The potential for maximizing the impact of our networks is great — but we need core funding to accomplish this work.
