Farm Energy Partners
Renewable energy presents a great opportunity for rural Maine producers to enter new markets. MRP’s Farm Energy Partners network provides a forum for everyone interested in renewable energy production and on-farm energy efficiencies to organize our resources around this emerging market. The network connects farmers, business planners, researchers, renewable technology developers, environmental interests, financiers and others to bring all supporting resources to bear in moving forward.
Through its Harvesting Clean Energy program, Farm Energy Partners improves access, identifies gaps, and seeks to address unmet needs as Maine moves into a new era of renewable energy development and best practice conservation.
The Farm Energy Partners network is open to anyone interested in promoting access to and coordination among programs designed to assist farmers with achieving energy efficiency savings and developing farm-grown energy sources. A guide to the network’s membership is included in its Farm Energy Field Guide.
A USDA Risk Management Agency grant provides primary financial support for the programs of Farm Energy Partners.

Farm Energy Partners is a network of providers who promote access to and coordination among programs designed to assist farmers with achieving energy efficiency savings and development of farm-grown energy sources. MRP facilitates the network members, who are developing a diagram of available programs and step-by-step guide for farmers to use in accessing resources. This network improves access, identifies gaps, and seeks to address unmet needs. Participants include:
