Founded in 2000 as the Maine Mountain Heritage Network, MWC operates as an open association of non-profits, government agencies, and private businesses with particular focus on three program areas - landscape resources, community revitalization, and networked economies. The group is currently developing systems for targeting capital investment in high priority regional initiatives.
