Harvesting Clean Energy
Harvesting Clean Energy is the technical assistance program of MRP’s Farm Energy Partners network. The program supports energy conservation and renewable energy production efforts.
We have published a Farm Energy Field Guide to help farmers
- identify potential energy savings,
- learn about potential renewable energy sources, and
- locate the financial and technical resources needed to invest in improvements.
Browse and download resources from the Farm Energy Field Guide online! Alternatively, farmers can order a printed copy by e-mailing cleanenergy@mainerural.org or by calling Maine Rural Partners at 873-2108.

We also hosted three outstanding wind energy events in October 2008, and resources from those presentations are still available.
University of Maine Cooperative Extension has information about crop insurance and when it is necessary.
